PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) shares similar properties with PTFE but offers some important differences. PFA withstands higher processing temperatures, provides smoother surface quality and offers better chemical permeation resistance. The Coating Process
The industrial PTFE coating process typically consists of these stages:

4. Curing: The coating is hardened and permanently bonded to the surface through high-temperature baking.
